Tusks returns with her stunning new EP ‘Change’, out via One Little Independent Records. The release showcases a departure from her previous album with a focus on electronics and layered, transcendent atmospherics.
‘Change’ is made up of three masterfully finessed tracks and their instrumental counterparts, each a deeply explorative, far-reaching exercise in marrying Tusks’ trademark pop sentiment with burning synth soundscapes. With this taste, we’re taken on a tour of oscillating rhythms and slow-building epics that tease an exciting and innovative future for an artist constantly evolving beyond expectation.
Alongside the recording of her new material, Tusks has been honing her skills as a producer, with sessions at Tottenham studio Ten87 giving her all the creative freedom she needs to expand her ethereal sound palette and broaden her approach. She was also awarded Arts Council England funding in order to aid in the process.
