Ink up my skin
Cover your soul's bruises and sins
Brush love on my lips
And permanently drawn on my side your heart in blackness
We had it all
We had it all just worlds apart
Loved like fools
Burning fire in our hearts
Fleeting indecisions
Borrowing time with our fears alive
My heart's imprisoned
Between the walls of what i want and what i know is right
We had it all
We had it all just worlds apart
Loved like fools
Burning fire in our hearts
But boy oh boy don't wake me up
I don't wanna loose this
We knew it would be
The last time you hold me
I never planned on falling
I'm not sober now
Running through dreams just like they're life
Painting our world
In your soul is where i built mine
We lost it all
We lost it all I'm not coming home
Loved like fools
Burning fires out of bones
But boy oh boy don't wake me up
I don't wanna loose this
Boy oh boy don't wake me up
I don't wanna loose this
Boy oh boy don't wake me up
I don't wanna loose this
We knew it would be
The last time you hold me
I never planned on falling.
A little more rocky than Snow the music is atmospheric. Simple in many ways but very tuneful.
Emily has a great voice and this is probably my favourite release by this artist. Russell Whyman
Atmospheric songs with a very electronic sound. Percussion effects are very varied including bells and simulated record scratches.
Emily's voice is very well showcased and you can hear the emotion in the songs.
Quite varied. 'Domino' reminds me of a late night jazz club track while 'Lost in Me' is a little more like something by 'This Mortal Coil'. Russell Whyman
Emily's voice on 'Fly' is ethereal and expressive. This is reinforced by the atmospheric music. It sort of reminds me of 'Julee Cruise' (of Twin Peaks fame).
'Bonsai' has a more overtly electronic percussion track and is instrumental. Very atmospheric. Russell Whyman
